SKOLA Gloucester Gate English Summer School in London for children aged 5-9, 7th July - 30th August 2025

Welcome to your summer school in London. We aim to provide students with a stimulating and safe environment to learn English and make friends by speaking English to students from other countries. We operate in July and August - please do not visit the site at other times of the year without an appointment.

 

Summer Courses​

 

Start any Monday 7th July to 30th August, for as many weeks as you like (min. 1 week, Max 11 weeks).
£50 Registration fee. Visa letter (if required) £25. Choose:

  • 6 x full-day (Monday - Saturday): £850 per week (with a parent on Saturday trip)

  • 5 x full-day (Monday - Friday): £650 per week

  • 5 x half-day (Monday - Friday) £450 per week

Course information

  1. Maximum class size 16 students (2 members of staff per group on trips)

  2. Full-day courses have 1 half-day Discover London trip on a Wednesday. 6-day course includes a Saturday trip.

  3. Half-day course from 9:00 - 12:15, Monday - Friday

  4. All levels including beginners

  5. 15 hours per week of English lessons in class

  6. International classes graded by age and level

  7. All course materials included

  8. 50 minutes per week on SKOLA's Discovery course

  9. Sports, music, art activities and parties

  10. Hot lunch daily is included in the full-day course. We cater for all dietary requirements. Please provide details on the registration form.

  11. Fresh fruit is included at break times.

  12. End of course SKOLA Certificate

Optional Extras​

  • Adult English Courses 10 minutes walk from the school: 15 lessons (£250 pw), 20 lessons (£300 pw), 30 lessons (£400 pw). £60 reg and £35 materials fee.

5-9-year-olds from 7th July - 30th August 2025.

At the north end of Regent's Park, near Camden is SKOLA Gloucester Gate open from 1st July to 31st August 2024. This houses our 5 to 9-year-olds for 8 weeks and has 7 classrooms, a canteen and a garden. We are opposite Regent's Park, with space for sports and a fabulous playground.

English Summer Programme for 5 to 9-year-olds

In SKOLA Gloucester Gate students learn in dedicated classrooms for this age group from Monday 7th July - Saturday 30th August 2025.

​

Each week has a theme for the lessons, the Discover London visits and Friday party. For example: THE NATURAL WORLD, with visits to the London Aquarium or the Natural History Museum.

 

Morning English classes develop grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking. In August '24 we will start some Callan method speaking lessons. Read this blog to learn more.

 

After sports and play in the park, students develop their English through tasks leading to a final presentation on Friday. For half-day students, it is advised to add an excursion for £50 so students can go on the Wednesday excursion and £50 for the Friday afternoon for presentations and the party. Students can go on the Saturday excursion if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Weekly projects, trips, Friday presentations and Saturday visits 2025 for 5-9 year olds

The first two weeks starting 16th, 23rd and 30th June, our course runs from SKOLA Regent's Park for 7-9 year-olds only.

We test all students either before via Zoom, or on the first day, and place students in class according to their age and level.

Our age bands are 5-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-17. We have 5 levels in each band from 7 up: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, and Upper-Intermediate 

​

Some classes have a capacity of 14, some have a capacity of 16 which is our max class size.

​

Our maximum quota from any one nationality in one class is 33%.
We want students to learn English and discover other cultures by making friends with people from all over the world.
