Students learn about natural disasters in Geography
The theme of the week was Natural Disasters. We visited the Natural History Museum and explored exhibitions in the Red Zone: Volcanoes & Earthquakes and Restless Surface.
For the Friday presentation, students researched and presented a natural disaster. They created a model, using a range of materials, and explained the process involved. They also had shared how disasters could be prevented or if the damage they caused could be reduced.
At SKOLA we use academic subjects like georgraphy to teach students the English of that subject. This is useful for students who are looking to study at a British full curriculum school in the UK. It also helps students looking to improve their English as they are generally familiar with the concepts and interested in the subject matter.
